The goal of this video is to extrapolate the kind of performance we can expect from an RTX 2070 in upcoming games. I use Cyberpunk 2077 to make these predictions because it is representing a worst case scenario. Cyberpunk seems to be a lot like Crysis when it launched. It is more demanding than most games, and will likely remain so for at least another year or two. It also features DLSS and lots of ray tracing. This allows us to simulate games that are highly demanding, offer ray tracing, and either offer DLSS or don't offer DLSS. Most games in the near future will likely be less demanding than Cyberpunk, so if we can get passable performance and settings in this game, then we can likely live with the RTX 2070 for another year or so until we see what Nvidia and AMD have to offer next time around.

My system specs are:
RTX 2070 (non super, small factory overclock)
i5 9600k at stock speeds
16GB RAM at 3000mhz
NVME SSD

Note that this video is uploaded at the native ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio and 3440x1440 resolution at which the game was being tested so people with ultrawide monitors can see what the game will actually look like on their screens.
