Is Castlevania: Bloodlines Still Worth Playing?
I’d like to think that the 8 and 16-bit Castlevania games were a lot like the Dark Souls games of today.
These single-player, gothic, sort of… tests of difficulty for players to overcome.
And while the more popular games from the series were on Nintendo systems, the Sega Genesis did get Castlevania Bloodlines.
While it’s certainly not an overlooked title when it comes to the canon of great Genesis games, it certainly isn’t as fondly remembered as Symphony of the Night or Super Castlevania IV.
That being said, romping through this game is still a really fun and rewarding experience, even if the difficulty pushes boundaries at times of ridiculousness.
