With EA laying off 4% of its PR and Marketing teams, the Success of Apex Legends vs the Rollout of Anthem, and the reaction FFXIV Players had to Tokyo FanFest and the announcements and interviews made by Yoshi-P this video is asking the crazy question that does it make sense to share information with us beforehand, or just drop the game on us in real time? We will have to see what happens tomorrow with Borderlands 3 and if they release the game soon, or just start the PR push. I think Apex Legends is a good case study for launching a game within the creator economy, where Anthem is a product that was hyped up before hand. And seeing how Yoshi-P and the devs were treated after their announcments with Female only Viera and Male only Hrothgar I wonder if there will be a time where nothing is shared, only the product at the time of release? Do we see a shift to a more controled creator economy where creators are paid to Speak No Evil?
