Godzilla is a franchise that has had a very long history. The first movie made by Toho in 1954 was a huge success and since then Godzilla has been in many movies both by himself and fighting other monsters like Mothra and Mechagodzilla.
It's no wonder then that Hollywood wanted to have a crack at the monster and put their own spin on things and in 1998 they did just that. Directed by Rolland Emerich, thy guy that did the Stargate movie and Independence Day, he uses his style of a crisis told through lots of people to show the Godzilla crisis.
With Mathew Broderik as the lead Nick Tutopoulus, a guy that studies how radiation changes the shape and size of animals, he sets out to solve the mystery of Godzilla. Though the monster has other plans.
Invading New York and causing lots of destruction and carnage he attracts the Military and the French CIA as they try and work out a way to kill him. Or should I say Her, or It? Because this Godzilla is pregnant and wants to lay eggs.
Will they stop Godzilla? Will they find the eggs? How much is a lot of fish? Find out today on is Godzilla Worth it!
