If you’ve never heard of PT before, allow me to introduce you to one of the greatest horror games that never existed. In 2014, Konami released a downloadable demo for the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store simply called PT. The demo was instantly recognized for its photorealistic visual fidelity, incredible audio design, and of course for its horrifying subject matter.

Within about a day of release, people started figuring out the secrets of PT and that the title of the demo actually stood for Playable Teaser. This was uncovered when players did certain things in the demo at the right time, in the right order, which unlocked an “ending”. This ending is in fact a reveal that the demo was a playable teaser for a game starring Norman Reedus called Silent Hills. This game however would never happen as Hideo Kojima the game’s creator left the company.

The PT demo was then made legendary when it was removed from the PlayStation Store, meaning that only those who had currently had the demo on their PS4 console would ever be able to play it. Since then of course, Hideo Kojima started another game development company and released Death Stranding, which starred Norman Reedus. The game community somehow figured out how to make a recreation of PT using the Unreal Engine.
