Is that good? Yes, it's good, it's just different, but whatever the utility in multiplayer, campaign buffs do double duty by buffing the explosion aspect of the flamethrower too. It's overkill against pieces of infantry units. But that's good in a lot of senses too. Fire enough, damage will climb.
