After the pyrotechnics with prime numbers yesterday, today we feature a puzzle that should go down in the sudoku annals as one of the greatest/cleverest we've ever seen. It's called Galactic Whispers and it's the work of Knickolas, who wowed us a few months ago with Chaotic Equality. This combines the spiral galaxies logic problem with German Whispers sudoku in a quite astonishing manner. Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. The dots given in the grid are the centres of rotationally symmetric “galaxies” (non-overlapping sets of orthogonally connected cells). Adjacent digits in the same galaxy must have a difference of at least 5. Caged cells are part of a galaxy with a given centre.
