Is this a glitch or a feature of Johnny's shadow kick?? Help?

After the safe B23-Frost Iceball setup:

I take 2% chip if I neutral duck and don't actually get hit. There's no hit animation at all.
I take 2% chip AND ANOTHER 2.375% chip if I crouch block.
