In my quest to find more hidden gem VR games & the best cheap VR games I stumbled across Dead Ground Z or Dead GroundZ for PCVR, immediately I could only think one thing - This looks like Dead Island VR! Dead Island VR is a port I have always wanted, that tropical paradise filled with zombies is a location I would love to roam around in fully immersive virtual reality, I managed to get Dead Island 2 VR to work thanks to Vorpx but a full blown VR version is something we've never been given. That's where Dead GroundZ VR comes in, an early access PC VR game that seems to take a huge amount of inspiration from the Dead Island series. Shoot and slash your way through hordes of the undead in this VR zombie game, the only question is could this be one of the best cheap VR games I've purchased or just a stinky shambling corpse...

I'm literally always searching for the best cheap VR games & certainly the best VR zombie games, there are so many out there that it's often hard to sort the great ones from the terrible stuff and then there are so many that fall somewhere in between. Dead GroundZ is one of those inbetween games, it doesn't exactly reach the dizzy heights of Walking Dead Saints & Sinners or Arizona Sunshine BUT I definitely enjoyed my time in this Dead GroundZ gameplay, I'd go as far as to say it's more fun that some other high profile VR zombies games (cough *Walking Dead Onslaught* cough). The physics are wonky, the voice acting is terrible & the environments might not be as open as they first appear to be but there is a fun game here, something to whittle away the time if you can pick it up at a cheap price. If you're looking for sun drenched environments, hilarious zombie deaths, arcade action and a Dead Island VR style experience then check out Dead Ground Z....for the right price of course (no more than a tenner)!
