25The Big Daddy? Iconic. Splicers? Iconic. Big Sister? Iconic. BioShock has been a series of creating some of the most iconic silhouettes - all the way down to even the weapons they use... or, at least, that's what they /had/ been doing, until Ken Levine thought it was a good idea to approve the Fireman as the first elite you fight in BioShock Infinite.
They even call out 'the fireman is coming' before you meet him. And when you do? One of the most FORGETTABLE encounters in any BioShock game. I mean - come on: meeting a SPLICER - A SPLICER, a basic video game enemy - for the first time in the OG game is more iconic than this. The splicer is talking to a wrench in a baby stroller - it sets up the whole game's atmosphere in one go... but the Fireman? Pfft - well, watch and find out, I guess. Ugh.
