Is This The Netflix Of VR? Checking Out Viveport Infinity In The HTC Cosmos
39Today I am taking a look at Viveport and the Viveport Infinity subscription service. On its surface Viveport is really nothing more than yet another store for purchasing VR games but what makes it very interesting is the Infinity subscription that HTC offers! OH...Also make sure you watch to the very end of the video.. You never know what you might find that can make it even more interesting! [;]-)
Over the years, many companies have come to the table with all you can eat buffet style streaming services for media consumption. Sites like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu now dominate the video category but what about games? Well, we now have services that offer that too but what about VR games? Well, that's where HTC has you covered with its Infinity service!
Vivport infinity is an awesome way to consume mass VR content all for just a monthly or yearly subscription fee. As of the recording of this video there were 574 titles available and the list is growing. I was also pleasantly surprised to see some great VR games and apps in there like Arizona Sunshine, A Fisherman's Tale, Tiltbrush and many others. My fear going in was that there was only going to be shovelware and tech demos in there but I'm now happy to say that those concerns were unfounded.
I think HTC has really done something awesome with Infinity and that a service like this is now very much needed as VR starts to grow larger and more titles become available. I will for sure be exploring more of what Infinity has to offer and if you are a new user to V or just someone who want to experience a lot of great Virtual Reality titles then I highly suggest giving Viveport infinity a look!
So basically if you are like me and want to experience a lot of what VR has to offer, then this is a great service for you... There is also a 14 day trial so you really don't have anything to loose!
