World of Warcraft has been a big part of my life ever since college, but along the way, they lost view of what made the game entertaining for most. Adding systems over systems and over-complicating things made people grow bored of the constant change and void left in their character if one of those systems ended up not being as good and was left behind. This mostly happened between expansions, but like the states of Azerite armor during BFA transistionning into corruption, we've definitly seen exemples of this happen mid-expansion as well.
With Shadowlands, Blizzard has dropped the ball on multiple levels. Covenants weren't as fun as they wanted them to be since the cost of locking in your faction for the rest of the patch loomed over people who didn't want to lose their progress. However I am happy to say that with the comming of patch 9.2, and the announcement of the next expansion, Dragonflight, World of Warcraft is, once again, a game I enjoy playing. I hope they will keep going in the right way.
