Defeating her awards you the “Fall of the Iskal” trophy. You have to buy the Swamps of Corsus DLC and try to look for her in Adventure Mode in Corsus. She will never be a boss in the campaign. The gate that can lead to her looks like the entrance into a mountain.

She is a pretty tough fight. In the first phase shown here, I am really bad, but this is the run we managed to kill her.^^ I swear, I have been better the tries before that one. But anyways:

Phase 1:
She always spawns bugs as her first attack. Shoot the glowing ones first and try to get the other ones in a bunch to chain-kill them. Also the turrets I spawn deal great with them. Hive cannon works great too.
You can only hit her head for normal damage in the first phase.
I recommend using a green leaf for resistance against corrosion.
Her corrosion attacks are easily dodged and normally she does 2 of them in a row. Sprint or roll to avoid them.
If her wings glow, she can do an immensely powerful attack to the sides. So always stay in the middle of the arena when her wings glow!
When she’s about to strike with her scythe, she does pretty much the same attack, but in the middle. So retreat to the side.
Finally, she can summon a bug onto your arm which explodes once she clicks her fingers. Dodge, when she does that. But it is hard to time. If you have you green leaf resistance bonus, the damage isn’t too bad though.

Transition: Shoot her head for critical damage. Also try to reload and use a green leaf again to stop the corrosion I am sure you have by now. If you miss her, she will insta-kill you.

Phase 2: Now it’s a "normal" fight. Try dodging everything. :-D She hits hard, so it can be over soon. We both had the amulet equipped which makes you heal every team member. So when one had her aggro, the other one healed him in-between. That worked great!
