It's time for some standstills! How to do them properly using The Method.
Nearly everyone trying to improve their backhand in disc golf is eventually told that "You should start with some standstills". But this recommendation contains a central fallacy. Without proper sequencing and intention, standstills are no more likely to improve your biomechanics than galloping full speed down the tee pad. The Method recalibrates your understanding, using feel rather than form mimicry, and gets you to feel pure leverage quickly. Once you feel it, it's quite easy to correctly integrate the mechanics into a powerful standstill throw.
After you've figured that out, Method 2.0 stuff will help you add momentum, while still maintaining your brace and your balance. I cover a little of the Method 2.0 stuff in this video, but a lot more will come later on. Thanks for watching!
