I’VE NEVER BEEN SO FRUSTRATED - Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe Playthrough Episode 20
Okay so how is this a game for children?
Oh boy, oh boy folks, it’s arena time!
I’m not going to lie, I was really dreading doing these. The last time I attempted to do the arena, I wasn’t able to get past level four. It was painful and it was embarrassing. And now there’s the True Arena on top of the regular Arena.
I decided, somewhat rightly, that it would actually be better to do the True Arena before I did the regular Arena. My thought process here was that doing the True Arena first would make the regular Arena feel like a cakewalk. Let me tell you, I was right about that. The regular Arena is nowhere near as difficult as the True Arena, and it was kind of fun to breeze through the Arena (literally) after the stress of the True Arena.
I also felt like it would be smarter to do the True Arena first because I was still used to the EX bosses at that point. If I had done the regular Arena first, I would have gotten used to the easier level that all the regular bosses have, and when I had to do their harder counterparts, I would be thrown off once again. Doing it in the order I did allowed me to stay used to the EX bosses and then have fun doing the easier Arena.
I’m surprised at how well this approach went. It really made it easier to just enjoy myself in the regular Arena, because I knew there was no way it could be harder than what I just went through. I’ve always been one about delayed gratification, and this time it paid off big time.
But don’t let that fool you, this was no walk in the park, not by any means. No spoilers, but there were more ups and downs than a Kirb in a tornado. I fully did not expect to have this much fun while playing the Arenas though, and I’m grateful that I was able to enjoy myself in the end.
So if you like tornadoes, a lot of silent play, and/or watching someone struggle, then this episode of my Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe playthrough is definitely for you!
