Jackal - Jaime's Tool Assisted Playthrough
0Jackal fka Top Gunner (US and EU), is a run 'n' gun style top-down shooter created in 1986 by Konami. The player uses an armed jeep to free POWs in an unnamed enemy country. The NES version has six stages instead of the continuous stage seen in the arcade.
The game is challenging in the fact that you cannot get out of the way of enemy fire quite so easily. This was one of the three games released in 1988 allowed to Konami. (As everyone knows, they released another trio of games under the ULTRA label.)
It's also a multiplayer if you can get a friend who can stand the difficulty.
