James Gunn has officially unveiled Superman: Man of Tomorrow as the next film in the DC Universe. The sequel will hit theaters on July 9, 2027, with David Corenswet returning as Superman and Nicholas Hoult back as Lex Luthor. Gunn describes the story as “as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie,” with the two characters forced to unite against a greater threat. Filming is expected to begin in April 2026.
