Japan Trip 2018 - Day 3 - Tokyo DisneySea
Day 3 and we are at DisneySea!
A dry but bitterly cold day. I think I was starting to come down with a cold.
Mediterranean Harbour
Venetian Gondolas – Enjoy the views as you ride on a gondola through the romantic canals.
Mysterious Island
20,000 Leagues under the sea was a ride where you sit in a submarine and explore underwater life and dangers of the sea bed. Unfortunately it was very dark and not even worth putting up in this video. Plus there was a thin layer of water within the glass of the submarines giving the illusion of being submersed under water but in reality the ride doesn’t actually get wet.
The Mediterranean Harbour played host to some boats for some cartoon characters such as Buzz Lightyear and Monsters University.
Arabian Coast
We went through the Arabian Coast but didn’t try any of the rides unfortunately. We then hiked all the way to the other side of the theme park to American Waterfront to see the Dockside Stage show but we weren’t close enough to see anything close up.
During the course of the day we caught site of the Lightning McQueen Victory Lap from the Cars movie where Lightning McQueen cruises along the road accompanied by banner bearers and a parade of flag bearers.
Port Discovery
Aquatopia was an attraction where you could board a watercraft for a whirling ride with unexpected turns. A bit like dodgem cars on water except that you couldn’t steer and the spinning was completely unpredictable.
I barely managed to catch the end of Mount Prometheus on Mysterious Island from our vantage point of Vulcania Restaurant, which reminded me a bit of being in an underground nuclear facility.
I had a bit of a quick look around Nautilus Gifts before we headed to Fantasmic! which was an awesome light and sound show complete with boats, smoke, water fountains and fireworks.
