The SD-20 is the black sheep of the Studio Canvas series. It's intended for use with a laptop and is missing almost 500 instruments from the SD-90 (several of them important for any style of music), it's missing the new higher quality XV-5080 SRV and JV-2080 reverbs, chorus and delays, and it doesn't have ANY insert effects (such as the very useful Enhancer and the COSM-powered Guitar Amp Simulator from the XV-5080). It's also barely editable: You can edit every single parameter of a preset on the SD-90, allowing you to even create your own presets from scratch using the internal waveforms. With the SD-20 you actually get less flexibility than even a SC-88, a 1994 GM/GS module. Even if you're one of those attention seekers only looking for certain very specific sounds, do yourself a favor and don't buy this. Just save for a little longer.
