Jesse Eisenberg is officially cast as Lex Luthor, Superman's arch-nemesis in the sequel to Man of Steel. Jeremy Irons has been cast as Alfred Pennyworth, replacing Michael Caine as Bruce Wayne's closest confidant in the film.
