Jet Rider 2 - PS1 - Full Playthrough - 9 Race Season Professional Difficulty & Final Track
29A full playthrough of Jet Rider 2 on PS1, this is called Jet Moto 2 in other regions, I'm playing the PSN version. I play through the 9 race season on professional difficulty and unlock all 10 circuit tracks. As the 10th track isn't included in the professional season I do a couple of victory laps at the end in a single race, just to show it off.
This works differently to the first game, when you unlock new tracks the season will extend to include them, but only if you're playing on the appropriate skill level. In the original the season would end whatever the skill level and you'd begin a new one featuring the tracks you'd unlocked. I started on professional so was able to play through a 9 track season and unlock the final track all in one go. You can play a 10 race season afterwards but I just wanted to show all the tracks being unlocked in this playthrough. I'm using Li'l Dave as my rider because his high acceleration worked for me better than anyone else I tried.
This is even more brutal than the first Jet Rider and it took quite a few hours to win this season on professional, even getting 6th or 7th place in a race can be a struggle. You have to practice hard to get good at these tracks but there's also a luck factor because you have no control over the other riders ramming into you, which happens a lot and can be the difference between success and failure. I found that frustrating, I'd have put more time in to get better otherwise, but at least I got good enough to win on professional which is no small task as this is probably one of the toughest PS1 racers. Bear in mind that it's D Pad only and runs at less than 20 frames per second. If a track got too aggravating I'd just accept my position and move on, which is why I do much better in some races than others.
