I liked Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass, but the number of required dungeons, the frequency of encounters in the dungeons, the uniformity of my strategy, and the average turn length started hindering my enjoyment fairly significantly at the end.

I'm glad it didn't get too heavy-handed, and it managed to navigate a lot of the concerns I had with the setup well. In the end, I didn't love it, but I did like it. For someone who is more willing to engage with the mechanics (and is willing to go through a lot of repetitive encounters), it'd probably end up being a more satisfying experience.
