I currently am using BBCR/BB+ transition effects as placeholders until I can code a different transition pattern to take the place of the dither one.

So until I find a time to do that, you won't be seeing a new effect anytime soon. The game is at V0.04 now. I'll keep you guys posted in about a month or two from now on how things are looking, by then I should already have gameplay stuff down, voice acting, a maybe some music (not by me) if we're lucky.
