When one of the members of Dream Theater decides to put out a side project, I generally love it almost as much as Dream Theater stuff itself, and this song is no exception! It may very well be my favorite instrumental of all time, and it was a heck of a lot of fun to cover.

Two things to note:
1. Since the beginning has no guitar intro and starts in with drums and keyboard, it takes me a few seconds to get my bearings. I'll be dadgummed if I didn't try it like 30 times, and my iPod wanted to space the previous song and this one out differently each and every time...so instead of attempting relentlessly to nail that guessing game, I just went on with the rest of the cover.
2. I make weird faces from time to time when I play, and I don't even know it until I watch the video and wonder why I look like a moron. So please disregard the weird mouth expressions from 7:22 - 7:32. Don't worry, my mouth didn't become numb, nor was I suddenly afflicted with terminal face deformation syndrome; I just haven't yet built up the skill necessary for independence between the hands, feet, and mouth!

*I've gotten a few comments on my videos about how they're not really COVERS, per se, and that's entirely true - I don't set out to copy exactly what the original drummer played; that would be boring! Instead, I just adhere to the basic framework of the song, usually staying pretty true to the original drum part but adding my own flavor here and there. Also, feel free to comment and say whatever you like (even if it's critical), but please try to keep the comments family-friendly!
