I usually really like Godsmack's songs, and it was definitely a lot of fun to cover this one. Unfortunately, most of their lyrics are either profanity-laced or spiteful, so I've opted not to do them, as I like to try to keep the songs I do clean. I guess they let up on this one since it was written for a PG-13 soundtrack. I went back and forth over whether or not I should pay homage to The Rock by playing shirtless to show off my massive pecs, mountainous biceps, and muscular six pack, but figured I'd better leave the clothes on so people would pay attention to the drumming and not get side-tracked by my perfect figure.
*I've gotten a few comments on my videos about how they're not really COVERS, per se, and that's entirely true - I don't set out to copy exactly what the original drummer played; that would be boring! Instead, I just adhere to the basic framework of the song, usually staying pretty true to the original drum part but adding my own flavor here and there. Also, feel free to comment and say whatever you like (even if it's critical), but please try to keep the comments family-friendly!
