Usually "commercial" contemporary Christian music like this doesn't really do it for me listening-wise, but since I personally feel that most of it is under-played where drums are concerned, it's often a lot of fun for me to put it on and go to town. As one of my favorite drummers, Ted Kirkpatrick, always stresses, drums are not just a noisy time-keeper, but also an integral part of the music. So usually I set out to make these songs original in my own way, and came up with this particular interpretation. (Of course, I don't think that the concern of the performance should ever overshadow the song's original intention, which in this case is praising God.)
