This is by far the most brutal song I've ever done (and one of the shortest too). First of all, it's not about the recently resurfaced silent film that has the name of this song! It's about the "eternal" struggle I've had with pride and assumption. I've been blinded by pride and acted incorrectly, and I've seen people blinded by assumption, believing that you have the capability of assuming what they mean and because of that they don't tell you (with words) what they want or need.
