Joseph Kosinski Cannot Believe He Did THIS in F1: The Movie
After first making his name with 2010's TRON: Legacy, director Joseph Kosinski quickly became a man who could be very well trusted with big-budget, broad-scope ideas. Fast-forward past his work on the Tom Cruise-starring sci-fi adventure, Oblivion, the pulse-racing Only the Brave, and his most recent project, contributing to the 2024 legacy sequel Twisters, and Kosinski has more than proven his acclaimed status in Hollywood.
However, his biggest and best project to date came alongside producer Jerry Bruckheimer in 2022's Top Gun: Maverick, which made waves as one of the most acclaimed box office successes of recent years. Now, three years on, Kosinski and Bruckheimer are re-teaming for another adrenaline-fueled action flick, this time set on the tracks of Formula One.
Following Brad Pitt's racing driver Sonny Hayes as he looks for redemption following the collapse of his career, F1 is ready to blow audiences' minds as much as it did Kosinski's, something he references in his chat with Collider's Perri Nemiroff. Alongside the movie's mind-blowing visuals, Kosinski also discusses the benefits of working with Apple on the project, as well as his next team-up with the production company and Bruckheimer on an untitled Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) movie.
