Part 01: Intro: The Ruins + Level 1 The Meadow (1/5): The Meadow
Here's my walkthrough of Juka and the Monophonic Menace on GameBoy Advance.
Content:
- No Damage (except when the game imposes it, never on combat and only on the Sound Shield)

General tips and advice:
- Warning!!! This game is tough to achieve without taking Damage because your moves are very limited, so you must time each of them. It is the first time that I play it and noone uploaded a No Damage 100% Walkthrough before me.
- Juka cannot run, nor use Potions when swimming or shimmying.
- ALL the Ingredients respawn when you come back to their location.
- You don't have to explore some areas to complete the game but you have to if you are aiming for 100% completion.
- Some locations require a specific Item or Potion to be accessible. Locate them and don't forget to return to them.
- The important Items are shown on the Map BEFORE you pick them up so take a look at it if needed.
- Stock up on Ingredients when you have the opportunity to do it. Some of them WILL NOT be available in some Levels of the game.
- It is impossible to pick up ALL the Ingredients when they pop up. If you want more of them you will have to leave their area and come back in order to respawn them.
- Obviously you don't have to defeat all the enemies but sometimes it is mandatory.
- You don't have to "see" the enemies on the screen to fight them. Make sure that the one you are fighting is targetted: during a fight always watch the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen! Also pay attention to the SHADOWS of the enemies or of their projectiles.
- Some enemies require several rounds to be defeated. Make sure to kill them before you start fighting another one.
- Their level of strenth is shown by the number on the scroll and their color.
- Use the elements of the scenery to hide and dodge projectiles.
- In the water, you can dodge the projectiles if you dive and swim underwater with the B Button. Be careful not to run out of air otherwise you will be injured!
- Each round the enemies launch projectiles in a specific order. Observe these patterns to know when to hit them.
- Enemies you don't kill will respawn if you return to their location.
- The Yeti Games are mandatory. Playing them again is optionnal.
- DO NOT run stupidly all around the room when you have to deal with Turrets or Bombsters.
- If your Shield is Damaged, block Sound Shots with your Sound Staff's Dark Shield to recharge it (B Button).
- To climb up a ledge press the A Button and the B Button to climb down.
- Sometimes you can fall from a bridge.
- It's also better to write down the recipes instead of looking for them in your Journal.
- Follow ALL advice given to you (by the game and by me).
- Finally, it is wise to save your progression when you have the opportunity. If you took Damage, it will also recharge your Shield and Stamina meters.
You start with 6 Pieces on your Stamina meter and 3 Pieces on your Sound Shield.

* Make sure to hit them before they notice you. Their drops are random. Time it well and be fast to collect them all!
At 20:16 since you know that you will have to fight at least 2 Thieves, I advise you to prepare at least 4 Sleep Potions: 2 for the outward journey and 2 for the return.
At 21:40 use the elements of the scenery (hedges, pillars...) to prevent projectiles (Explo-spinners...) to reach you.
At 25:34 all the Quests are written in the Journal. They disappear when achieved.
At 35:55 there are 2 ways to avoid fighthing the Soldiers:
1) Follow the advice given by the Little Kid and take the upper path to go to the Village.
2) Dodge the Soldiers and their attacks with the Sleepifier Orbs walking alongside the north wall.
If you're injured, eating the Muffins will heal you (Bufo will tell you).
Note that if you decide to take the lower path you don't have to use an Animate Potion to open the upper one. Indeed it will be reachable later (cf. the next video).
