Jump Force Confirms Character Pass 2, Includes Shoto Todoroki
Bandai Namco Entertainment confirms the Jump Force Characters Pass 2, which will add five more DLC characters to the game this year.
Jump Force didn't exactly light the world on fire when it launched in 2019, but the game still has its fans. It's hard to deny the appeal of being able to have some of the biggest characters in anime history duking it out, and now Jump Force's already impressive roster is set to grow even further. Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced the Jump Force Characters Pass 2, which will add five new characters to the game from a variety of anime.
The first new character coming to Jump Force as part of Characters Pass 2 is none other that Shoto Todoroki, the ice/fire-wielding hero of My Hero Academia fame. Todoroki's addition to the Jump Force roster increases the My Hero Academia representation in the game to four characters, as Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and All Might are already available for Jump Force fans.
As for the other four Jump Force DLC characters that are coming in Characters Pass 2, they have yet to be revealed. However, we do know what animes they will be from. Jump Force fans can expect new characters from Hunter X Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, possibly even in that order. Fans can expect additional information on these mystery characters later this year.
In the meantime, it's unclear exactly when Shoto Todoroki will be coming to Jump Force, as no specific release date has been announced by Bandai Namco at the time of this writing. However, we do know that the Characters Pass 2 will retail for $17.99 once it becomes available.
When Jump Force launched, it only had Izuku Midoriya as the sole My Hero Academia representation on the roster. However, with My Hero Academia exploding in popularity and becoming one of the top anime series in the world right now, it's no surprise to see more characters from the show added to the game. In future, it's possible even more My Hero Academia characters will be added, and it's also quite likely that there will be more My Hero Academia-specific video games.
In fact, My Hero: One's Justice 2 just recently launched, giving fans a My Hero Academia fighting game comprised entirely of characters from the hit anime/manga series. It seems as though My Hero Academia will only grow in popularity moving forward.
Jump Force is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version launching later in 2020.
