In this game you control the heroine, Jupiter, and you are on a mission in the future where the last cups of tea has been scattered across the solar system. The game comes in two parts, the first one is named “Prelude” and it can be seen as a tutorial game for the second part. “Prelude” has 15 levels and the levels are easier than those in the second part where there are 35 levels.

The Prelude game starts on Mercury and ends on Earth, and in the second part the mission continues from the (Space!) Moon and goes on to Pluto. This makes this a huge 50 levels platform game inspired by Manic Miner, so you will also meet some well known enemies from that game.

You have to collect all the cups of tea on each screen, and on some screens you also have to collect a key to unlock a barrier around the exit door. The exit door is locked until you have collected all the cups of tea, then it will flash to show you that it is open.

Besides the normal platforms there are also platforms with conveyor belts, platforms that will disappear for a while and then pop up again, some will vanish when stepped on, and there is also invisible platforms. There is a time bar for each level, just like in Manic Miner, but you have plenty of time here, which gives you the advantage to take your time to plan your route at the beginning of each level.

The playability in this game is really good, if you are finding a lot of platform games too tough, you should check out this one. After a few attempts you should be able to finish the first part, and for the second part the first half of the levels is also fairly easy, and thing does not get so tough in the later levels that they are impossible.

While many new games are made with AGD this one is made with PGD. “Platform Game Designer” does not support AY but it doesn’t matter in a Manic Miner tribute game like this, because a game like this should off course have in game beeper music like Manic Miner, and it is also controlled with just three keys like Manic Miner.

The graphics is not groundbreaking but it does the job, everything is bright and clear and it is easy to see where to go. Most of the levels is free of color clash, and the little there is does not ruin anything. The heroine is well made and cute, the layout of the levels are great, and the outdoor levels also has some horizon graphics in the background. The game plays and controls very well and offers 50 levels where it is possible to make some progress and play for a long time.

The simple in game beeper music is okay, and it is a nice touch that there is this music in a 48k game, instead of just silence and some sfx.

The game does not offer anything we have not seen before, but it is a very cool and highly playable platform game made in the best retro style way for a standard ZX Spectrum 48k.

The game was made by Quantum Sheep in 2020.
