Kaico Dreamcast HDMI Adapter - Test 2 - MSR
3== PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION ==
This is the first of two quick tests of the Kaico Dreamcast HDMI adapter I unboxed recently.
Both were run through my Xbox One's HDMI input, as the Elgato capture device does not support 480p60 inputs. Also, both had to be resized to the 4:3 ratio... the VGA to HDMI was stretched and the Kaico was slightly squashed.
The second game I tried was Metropolis Street Racer.
Like Arcadia, the VGA to HDMI produces a better image in terms of colour, though the random choice of the game racing at night didn't really help.
The Kaico still had the obvious vertical lines that are quite evident. They could get annoying at time, but might be less noticeable during fast paced games. They also seem to be less noticeable once the video is processed on YouTube.
Once again, the lines on the VGA to HDMI adapter are much sharper looking than the Kaico, which are definitely softer.
