Kaitou Sly Cooper 2 Let's Play - Part 11
1In this episode, I complete the second set of jobs before Operation: Wet Tiger.
I should have stated this before, but here is a list of differences between my emulation settings and playing on an actual console:
- No shadows. They eat up memory and cause lag.
- Crackly audio during slideshows.
- Higher resolution. While the PS2 can output in 1080p, only a few games were designed for it. Sly games were not, but they look great.
- Random lag spikes. Having a powerful computer doesn't mean PS2 games will run better. They were designed for the hardware in an actual PS2. The emulator has trouble processing a few things, such as multiple characters on the screen at the same time.
- Jagged edges and faint outlines. I could make the game look good, but it would be unplayable due to the lag. The smoother I make it look, the more system resources the game takes up.
