After about a week and a half, this is the result. I'm still in the falling animation, but the particles have stopped moving. The Triangle button does the attack, but the "slam" effect stays there. I can move around, but it doesn't appear to make Sly fall any further. Pressing the Square button seems to make Sly fall, but I think it snaps me back. Moving the camera seems to change Sly's height, but it is most likely a visual effect.

I could be wrong, but Sly could still be falling. I could be so far down that the effects of falling don't display correctly. I'll leave the console on for another week, but this could be the end of my journey.

If Sly isn't falling, then my theory is wrong. If he is, time will tell.
