Level 6-8: The Climactic Finale

The final stage finally. Big Bad Baby Bowser awaits...

This level is huge. It consists of seven main areas filled with traps, enemies, obstacles and the like. It's definetly the longest level in the game. Is it the hardest level? Ehh, that's debatable really. I personally think that 6-7 was harder or maybe 6-6. Still difficult in its own right, though. On top of that, there is some evil level design going on in some parts of the level (including the two Bowser fights!) - couple that with the traps, enemies, etc, and you've got yourself a very challenging level here.


The fight with Bowser is the same as it is in vanilla Yoshi's Island, however this time around, you don't have a lot of room to work with, and to make things even worse, the platforms are slippery. When I grab an egg and ready to hit Bowser, I ground pound before aiming the egg because that instantly stops all your momentum after a jump - otherwise, you'll slide and you don't want that happening, especially during the second half when Bowser removes half of the platforms and gives you even LESS room to work with. I kinda cut it close near the end, but still managed to get the 100%.
