Turret sections didn't used to bother me. It wasn't until I learned more about game design that it all started to click. They never bothered me, but they also never did anything for me. In fact, they were utterly joyless. They serve to only be a spectacle and power fantasy. But when you drop that on someone not susceptible to power trips? All you got is spectacle- so it'd better be AWESOME. Usually it is not. This is no different. Right. Left. Right. Left. Left more. Now right. Oh look, bigger dudes. Right. Left. Bleh. Blah. Bleh. Blah.
