1 - Widgets and Plasma
First, the Plasma Widgets: there is a new display configuration widget, which allows you to easily manage your screens, and has handy features for presentations, such as presentation mode, which allows your computer to stay awake when doing a presentation.

The network widget now supports SSH VPN tunnels again, this had been broken in a previous update.
In the Kickoff menu, hovering over tabs now switches to tabs immediately, instead of waiting for a bit, as in the previous version. The Breeze desktop theme has improved shadows to look more natural, and the widgets and panel edit menus now have consistent icons to be less confusing, for example the "configure" icon and the "delete" icon.

You can now switch users from the lock screen so that you can quickly switch users without logging in in your session, and Plasma will warn you on logout if other users are logged in.

Finally, the "global menu" widget now officially supports GTK applications as well, which means the global menu should work with every standard app now, except from Libre office.

2 - KWin and Wayland:
Kwin, the window manager, has been updated as well, receiving a fix for copy/paste between GTK and other apps on the Wayland display server (which is not the default on many distros these days). The Kwin effects also have received a lot of attention, with a complete rewrite of the Dim Inactive window effect, a new Scale effect to animate opening and closing windows, as well as a rewrite of the GLide effect. A lot of fixes were also added to better support Wayland, and to better integrate more applications on the desktop.

3 - Discover
The Package manager has also received a few updates. It now supports fwupd, to allow updating the firmware on computers whose manufacturers support the standard, and it can now handle SNAP channels, to choose from stable, or beta version.
Discover can now display and sort applications by release date, to take a look at what's new and which app has seen some support lately, as well as seeing which software the app you want to install depends on.

When trying to install a flatpak file, Discover will prompt you to install the Flatpak backend for you if it's not already available, and updates will be more legible, with the package manager telling you which packages will be replaced when you select to upgrade a specific package. The update button is also disabled when you're already checking for updates, and the settings and update pages have been made to look more consistent with each other. Other improvements include an update to the layour of update pages and the update notifier widget, as well as sorting updates by completion percentage, and a lot of bug fixes.
