Kaiya seems to be a Japanese-mafia-boss type design in traditional clothing. His fighting style is Kenpo, and the game represents this style quite well.

===== About Kensei: Sacred Fist =====
Kensei: Sacred Fist is a decent fighting game. There is a large repertoire of moves for each character, and the game depicts the various martial art styles very well. The graphics are good for the PS1's standards.

Each character in the game has their own boss whom they fight on Stage 9, before fighting the two main bosses Zhou and Kaiya. It's kind of like the same unlock-structure in Tekken 1 and 2 for the PS1.

The Japanese version of the game is known as Bugi.
