Blue Breaker Burst: Egao no Asuni [PS1] - play as a "flawed" character
This is a play-through using a "flawed" character in the PS1 game Blue Breaker Burst: Egao no Asuni. Read on below for more information...
This is a "flawed" character', which is found in the game's data. Obviously, the character is non-selectable.
Here is the information on the character:
---- On the character select screen, her cursor is out of place, and her icon is a messed up version of Asha.
---- On the VS screen, her icon appears as an 'X'.
---- During in-fight, her winning 'text' is flawed, and she has no name in her Command list.
---- The character's model for the most part is Wise, but it's flawed, as her face, neck, hands and shins are 'transparent'.
---- The character has no voices or 'hitting' sound effects.
---- Throwing the opponent with her will freeze the opponent and render him/her un-hittable.
---- When you complete Original Mode with her, she completely messes up the credits screen. This is because normally each regular character has a unique credits portrait that appears here, and because this character has no such portrait programmed in, it results in a mess-up of the whole screen. It doesn't lock the game though.
---- The character can appear on the Time rank screen, as an 'X' icon. You can see this after the credits.
===== About the game =====
Blue Breaker Burst: Egao no Asuni is based on a previous love-RPG game which also appeared on the PS1 the year before. Therefore I am guessing that it features the characters from the RPG.
As for the game itself, well it is an okay/average fighting game. The controls are a little clunky and unresponsive. However the stand-out aspect of it is the Story Mode, which you can choose from a set number of characters (and unlock more within). The character Chimena has the main and deepest story-line, while the other character's stories are still very deep and tells a good detailed adventure, with lots of dialogue. They all include good portrait artwork, animation, and for some characters, voice-acting as well.
