In this Kerbal Space Program video we are going to explore a solar sail mission that was supposed to be lauched from Delta III SSBN in the middle of the Barents Sea and enter Low Earth Orbit, testing the solar sails in space back in 2005. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned as the satellite never separated from its launch rocket, but this would have been the first solar sail test in the world.
