After some research it has been determined that there are fundamental geometric problems with fitting the Power relay hardware into the cargo bays. Visually it works, but R&D has determined there's some mystical force that extends beyond the visual extent of the parts. So instead we're going to launch this network via a more mundane mechanism.

Eagle eyed viewers will note that there was a change at the back of the plane between fueling and takeoff - essentially the game crashed after I launched to space the first time and I lost my save, so I had to put the plane back on the runway to record it again. The refueling procedure takes a long time so I skipped around that with some savefile editing.
