• Kerr on Patrick Baldwin, Jr.: “He was terrific. Just a really good basketball player. He understand the game, you can see it with his flow and his movement and his passing… He just gets it…Great size, great feel, great shooting touch…very impressed.” Kerr added that he didn’t know what to expect when the team drafted PBJ, but so far he’s impressed.
• On the 4th quarter: “great energy…winning plays…JK’s defense…we switched everything…they won that game for us.”
• On the next 4 days: “We’ll take Monday off and then we need a really good 4 days of work, maybe 3, we might give them another day off…most important week of camp given the irregularity of camp…and only three practices…talk about different situational things.”
• On if this trip was a good bonding experience: “impactful trip. Everyone on our team had a wonderful time…interacting with the fans, some great meals, experiencing a beautiful culture.”
• On the connection of the vets and the youngsters and the importance of the three: “a product of the character of our older characters…they really want to mentor…comes from being good people…(the three) is a huge weapon for us…fun team to coach.”
• On the future of Japanese players: “if I mention any names I get fined for tampering…been fun to watch the Japanese players enter the league…bring the game to the young kids in Japan…we’d love in a few years to see ten Japanese players…you guys are awesome.”
