KGR: Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (TurboGrafx-CD)
8The third title in the Ys series by Nihon Falcom Corporation brings fans a drastically different Ys game. This is the first title in the series that is a side-scrolling action-platform styled game. Three years after the events of Ys I & II, You take control of Adol Christin and you travel with his friend Dogi to Dogi's hometown of redmont. Once they get there, they learn that the townsfolk are being threatened by men from nearby Valestine Castle. So Adol decides to help them out as only he can. With it's amazing redbook audio soundtrack, challenging game play, animated cutscenes and voice acting, this game was quite astounding for 1989. This game is often considered the black sheep of the Ys series, but i think it deserves more credit than that.
