This is video #011 in my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playthrough. Roxas will now undertake Mission 09 to collect hearts in Twilight Town. He is paired up with Marluxia for this mission. They start out in the large Tram Common. At first, this area is loaded with Shadows.

This is probably the first mission where you will find yourself swearing at the tiny backpack. You won't be able to pick up all the treasures here in one sitting. The treasure chests are all in the Tram Common. Fortunately, you will be able to return to this mission later on in the Holo-Missions to pick up the remaining chests. A Blazing Shard is in the southeast chest. In the northeast, a chest contains a Fire Recipe. In the west under the stairs, a chest contains a Potion. Along the raised walkway in the northwest, a Blazing Shard is in a chest.

That's all the chests I can pick up for now. I will pick up the three remaining treasures in the next video. Immediately to the south, a chest on top of a low building contains a Potion. The other treasures are a Potion in the shopping area to the southwest and a Blazing Shard in front of door #4 in the southwest corner.

In the Woods to the east, there's nothing but Shadows. Finally, Roxas and Marluxia reach their targets on the grounds of the Old Mansion. It is a group of Dire Plants. Don't simply rush in and start hacking, or the plants will just pelt Roxas. Instead, bounce back their projectiles with Block.

The mission is over at this point, but now there is an optional boss in the Tram Common: the Zip Slasher. This foe can easily kill Roxas at this point, so you need a strategy. My strategy is to let Marluxia provoke the Zip Slasher's spin and thrust. After the spin and thrust, the Zip Slasher will be stunned, so rush in and deal five or six blows. Then get out of range so that Marluxia is between Roxas and Zippy. This battle is quite possible at this point, but it requires time and patience. Zip Slasher can drop some good loot when defeated.

On Day 17, there is just one mission left in this mission set, and it's a doozy. I recommend giving him numerous Potions, a Level Up, Dodge Roll, and Block. Note that if you press the Start button on the Panel screen, you can save your current panel setup and load saved setups. You can save up to three setups. Really convenient.
