This is video #060 in my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playthrough. On Day 99, Roxas does Mission 35 in Beast's Castle. Remember, to unlock this mission during Day 97~, you need to open all the chests in Mission 29 and then talk to Axel twice. Alternatively, you can complete the Day 97~ mission list and then do Mission 35 as a Holo-Mission.

Mission 35 is tough but fun. The mission is to collect hearts, so let's collect. Roxas arrives in the West Hall. The Ordeal Badge can be found in the nook north of the stairs. At the top of the stairs, the first Snowy Crystal can be found. The best way to deal with this chunk of ice is a Fire spell or two.

In the West Wing, there are three Snapper Dogs to deal with. Two spawn at the bottom of the stairs, while the third spawns at the top near the treasure chest. Blizzard is helpful to deal with these monsters. Afterwards, a Hi-Potion can be found in the treasure chest. That Unity Badge is difficult if not impossible to reach right now, so don't worry about it.

At the south end of the West Hall, a couple of Snowy Crystals and some Shadows guard the route to a couple of treasure chests, one with a Potion and the other with a Blizzard Recipe.

From here, I prefer to go through the Secret Passage rather than straight to the Undercroft. In the Secret Passage, a few Massive Possessors can be found. These are pretty dangerous to kill with physical attacks, so use magic until they break up. Three Snowy Crystals can also be found. In the northwest, a chest containing an Ether can be found. Judging from your magic usage, you may need this right away.

In the Undercroft, we'll find the main challenge in this mission: a roomful of Icy Cubes. If you start up on the ledge, you can shoot Fire down at them until you are out of Fire charges. Then, go down and use aerial combos on them. The Lift Gear+ is pretty useful for this. If you're lucky, the aerial finish will destroy multiple cubes at once. Just don't let the Icy Cubes gang up on Roxas. On the other hand, if you want to stock up on Iron, the Icy Cubes are fairly easy to kill.

After the Icy Cubes have been melted, Roxas can gather a Slot Releaser and a Potion from the chests.

The mission rewards include Bronze. Hopefully, you get two or three pieces of this useful material.
