KH 358/2 Days Playthrough #076, Challenges: Missions 39, 41sp, 41, 40
This is video #076 in my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days playthrough. Now, it is time to do the Challenges for the Day 119~ missions. First, Roxas redoes Mission 39. This is the mission to defeat the Clay Armor and collect hearts at Olympus Coliseum. The goal for this challenge is to jump as little as possible. To get all three Challenge Sigils, he can only jump one time. His level is capped at 13, and the enemy level is increased by 1. To compensate for that, I would leave out unnecessary Level Up panels and replace them with extra Blizzard and Thunder panels. The hardest part, I thought, was dealing with the Flare Motes and Jumbo Cannon outside. With the Flare Motes, stand right next to them and shoot them with a Blizzard spell.
Afterwards, in the arena, just use Thunder spells to knock the Clay Armor down, and then attack it in the head. In the training, just focus on killing the Soldiers with physical attacks and/or magic. There's no need to bother with the barrels on this occasion.
Next, at time index 7:46, Roxas preps for the Mission 41sp Challenge. He actually embarks at time index 9:15. This is the mission to defeat the Morning Star at Olympus Coliseum. This is another of those irritating challenges where you have to avoid missing with Keyblade attacks. To get all three Challenge Sigils, you can only miss a maximum of one time. To make matters worse, magic is unavailable to Roxas, and enemy level is increased by 19. However, there is a silver lining here: Xigbar will still be able to use magic! When the Morning Star finally stops spinning, be careful to do just one combo at a time. If you get a Limit Break ready, I suggest using it.
Then, at time index 14:58, Roxas prepares for the Mission 41 Challenge. He embarks at time index 15:53. To earn all three Challenge Sigils, Roxas must clear the mission within 1:40. Like the 41sp Challenge, attack magic is disabled. However, enemy level is only increased by 2, and the Morning Star doesn't have nearly as much health as in the previous challenge. The only foe that needs to be defeated is the Morning Star itself. You have to get it stopped quickly. If you can get a Limit Break, it will help in tearing this big ball of spikes to shreds quickly. In all, with good levels and gear, this is not a hard challenge.
Finally, at time index 18:17, Roxas prepares for the Mission 40 Challenge. He embarks at time index 19:19. This is the mission to defeat the Deserters at Olympus Coliseum. To earn all three Challenge Sigils, Roxas must clear the mission within 2:25. Damage taken is increased by 20%, and enemy level is increased by 2. The time limit is pretty generous, so if you get a Limit Break available, you can tear through the foes like a hot knife through butter.
At time index 22:15, Roxas checks in with the Moogle Shop for rewards. For 90 Challenge Sigils, he gets a Level Up panel.
Thank you for watching!
