KH Birth By Sleep Final Mix (PS4) - Vanitas & Xehanort (LV1 Critical/Terra) *No Zero EXP
3Ok first thing I want to get out of the way, this fight was changed in the PS4 version. For some unexplained reason they changed it so you have to actually kill Vanitas to progress where in every other version (Both PSP and PS3) require you to only damage to down to half health. It is a complete mystery as to whether this was an intentional change or the result of the PS4 version being extremely buggy on release but whatever...
Oh boy, get used to this strat... Bosses fought in Keyblade Graveyard are all immune to Ignite so you have to rely on what the boss gives you and if the boss has no projectiles and you have no ally to fight for you, your stuck poking the boss doing 1 HP of damage at a time. THIS is the reason Zero EXP was buffed in the HD ports.
The worst part about the Keyblade Graveyard is that you have to fight Vanitas 4 TIMES among the 7 total final bosses in this world. Vanitas is by far one of the most poorly designed bosses in the series and the single worst mandatory story boss in the series. There is zero strategy to fighting Vanitas as he will just randomly dodge and teleport attacks with no pattern. The only viable way to fight him on Lv1 when he isn't vulnerable to status conditions is to spam shotlock. Ventus does have another way to fight Vanitas but that isn't relevant here.
Obviously No Damage is completely unreasonable here since I need to spam shotlocks to complete this in any timely fashion and the only way to do that is to abuse Damage Syphon to constantly recharge my Focus.

Q: What does the title mean by "No Zero EXP"?
A: In the HD version of BBS, Zero EXP was given hidden properties to buff you up to an acceptable Strength and Magic level to actually deal damage to enemies that are way stronger then you. This also happens in the HD version of KH1 but unlike in that game, this game goes way overboard and makes it actually more viable to play the game at Level 1 then Critical Mode normally. Because of this, I am removing Zero EXP on bosses to get the true Level 1 like on the PSP version.
