I wanted to share this video weeks ago but things have not been going my way lately.
I only have a small collection of Game Gear games. No original cases for the system or the games but at least everything works and the carrying case is pretty sweet. Bought it from Salvation Army back when I worked there well over a decade ago.
The Lion King is probably one of the hardest games in existence and the Game Gear version is even more so. The 8-bit system's controls are nowhere near as responsive as versions on 16-bit systems. Still fun and the game is super colourful for an 8-bit game. Honestly, the GG is the most colourful 8-bit system I can think of besides maybe the Turbo-Grafx 16 (which pretended to be 16-bit by running 2 processors).
The Majors is a pack-in game. Sega loved to show off digitized voice in their sports games.
XMen is really hard.
Jurassic Park is actually pretty awesome if you're not impatient with it.
Sonic 2 may not be Genesis quality, but it does the best the GG's hardware can.
How many random things can you see on the wall behind me? Hope the video is clear enough.
