This was more annoying than it was hard, what with relying purely on RNG to attack certain enemies over Luxord and vice versa.

The Supernova - Sephiroth friend medal was chosen purely for the Supernova effect, which went a ways to help (though may not have been necessary). I was also forced to slap a Second Chance Skill on Toon Roxas and Pals, and slap a AB7 on the 101 Dalmations to survive long enough, and deal enough damage to beat it.
