Kid Icarus: Uprising: Part 5: Chapter 5: Pandora's Labyrinth of Deceit
2With the Great Reaper defeated right at his fortress, Pit & Palutena finally gained the key that they needed to unlock the way to Pandora's Labyrinth of Deceit.

AIR BATTLE - (00:57 - 6:00)
Right at the start of this Chapter, Palutena leads Pit into a space pocket that will lead into the labyrinth of Pandora, the Goddess of Calamity. This chaotic being is yet another old foe that Pit had faced in his first adventure.
The Labyrinth of Deceit was quite a trippy place, as if Pit was sucked into a digitized dimension.
False paths... dead ends... tricks and traps. This place had it all by Pandora to try and keep Pit from reaching her. Sometimes you have to choose a path, but if it ends up being a dead end, then that's just more time spent in this Air Battle...
...which Pit probably DOESN'T want if he wants to keep his wings, especially since Palutena wouldn't be able to pull him out of that labyrinth so easily. As the flight continued, it was starting to trip her up pretty badly, too.
Eventually, she was able to bring Pit to a landing spot in time.

LAND BATTLE - (6:00 - 22:43)
It was at this point that Pandora started talking to Pit & Palutena herself, in all of her fireball bodied glory.
You'll be going through a lot of doors in this stage. Some of them are just looped into each other, while others are traps that can hurt Pit of you don't dodge their attacks quick enough. Eventually, though, you WILL find the right doors, including dead ends that still give you food for health.

Later, you can have Pit ride an Exo Tank. You can use it to shoot down enemies or just run them over.
Pandora... can't steer the Exo Tank without hands, but she was STILL able to make a whole parking lot course for it. How?
"Hardwork & Determination".

Up to speed, Pit's mission in this labyrinth is to defeat Pandora and destroy her Mirror of Truth, which can create copies of anyone that stands before it based on what it can sense from one's heart. This made for a valuable took for Pandora and made her one of Medusa's best Underworld commanders.
Pit & Palutena wanted more details about the mirror's capabilities, but Pandora's lips were sealed about it...

Some of these rooms will have green trampolines that will help you with high jumps.
Inside an Intensity 4 Gate, there's 3 treasures chests... but one of them is a deadly fake called a Mimicutie. Her legs are going to kick the HELL out of you, and she can be really tough to bring down, too.
Another Intensity Gate, an 8 one, is a nostalgic trip to Pit's 8-Bit past...
Not all of these gates are just set up to ambush you, I suppose.
The last rooms before Pandora will have invisible paths you have to shoot to make them visible for a moment, helping you make your path.

Finally facing off against Pandora, Pit randomly decided to show off how much of hero he sees himself as against this Goddess of Calamity...
Pandora, and even Palutena... were not amused.

Your basic attacks won't do much damage to Pandora on her on. To hurt her more, you have to melee attack the bombs she shoots out right back at her.
And then soon afterwards... she gives up, and deliberately lets Pit destroy her Mirror of Truth...

But then... Just as Pit smashes right through it, and comes out the other side...
A different angel, a black angel, a black version of Pit, emerge from the side he started from.
This was Pandora's plan all along. She tricked Pit into creating a dark clone of himself to kill him with: Dark Pit
But alas... Dark Pit had a mind of his own, and instead decided to fight Pandora instead while you're still using Pit to finish her off.
This plan didn't work out too well for Pandora, but it did confirm to her that there was something more violent in Pit's heart than his outer demeanor led her on about...

Eventually, the two Pits defeated Pandora.
But then Dark Pit continued his own agenda, that HE was the REAL Pit.
He rushed over and absorbed Pandora's essence, giving him full control of his own Power of Flight, compared to Pit needing to rely on Palutena (and only for 5 minutes at that). Dark Pit was now free to fly for as much as he wanted to.
Palutena was worried that this demonstration meant that Dark Pit is going to work for Medusa, so she and Pit couldn't let him get away!
